I'm one of the artist in the new Women's Art show called Beyond the Surface! I have one of my paintings in the exhibition, that I've only shown once before! It's called Being the Forest!
The show happens at Unitarian Church, 949 West 49th @ Oak St, Vancouver. It runs from March 1st - April 3rd. The opening day is Saturday, March 5th, 1- 3 pm. I'm one of the artists from Avenue for the Arts, bringing my art to the Renegade Hearts Valentine's Fair. It's Feb 13, 12 - 5 pm at 2980 Nanaimo St, Vancouver.
I'm bringing; art cards of nude lovers, hearts and flowers, original collages of nude lovers & hearts and copies of my new book, Atlantic Adventures and Big City Romance. Also: handmade chocolate by Trish Mitchell, original collages, cards magnets by Dominique Norville, lovely jewellry by Carrie Campbell, art by Erin Johnson and original paintings by Jane Stanier. I was one of the features, on Feb 3rd at this special event, at the Hastings Library. It was sponsored by Pandora's Collective & VPL. I read 10 minutes of love poems, combined with travel poems, from my new book Atlantic Adventures & Big City Romance, one summer love poem and 2 new fall/love poems! |
